The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has directed all Kenyan universities and colleges to submit courses and students’ capacities ahead of the 2026 placement process.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, October 8, KUCCPS said this will aid preparations for the placement of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates.
“Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has requested universities and colleges to submit courses and capacities for next year’s student placement process,” the statement read.
“This signals the start of preparations for placement of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) class and candidates from other years to universities and colleges.”

In a letter dated October 6, 2025, and addressed to Vice-Chancellors and Principals of University Colleges, KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer Dr. Agnes Mercy Wahome requested the institutions submit their programs online through the KUCCPS placement system.
This process, officially referred to as the Declaration of Programs and Capacities, is a crucial step in preparing the online system used for student applications and placement across TVET institutions, universities, and accredited colleges.
