Content creator and radio personality Azziad Nasenya has set the record straight on allegations that she was part of the Kenya delegation to the Paris Olympics 2024.
In a statement on July 11, Azziad said that she was not part of the delegation and termed it reports as mere rumours.
She further noted that her involvement with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports was centered around the Creatives Technical Committee of the Talanta Hela Council headed by Daniel Ndambuki AKA Churchill which was later disbanded.
“First of all, I am not part of the Kenya delegation to the Pans Olympics 2024. unfortunate that someone would come up with false allegations on such a matter.,” she said.
“I was selected and mandated to represent the younger population in the Creatives Technical Committee. However, the committee was disbanded in June 2023. I’ve not involved myself since.”

Azziad Sheds Light on Dubai Trip
Similarly, Azziad clarified that her trips abroad, including Dubai and other destinations, were funded by herself, clients, or family, and not by the Government of Kenya as claimed.
Furthermore, the radio personality revealed that her trip to Dubai was for recording content for the #VisitDubai campaign and was fully funded by the client.
She urged netizens to verify information on her social media rather than believing unfounded claims.
“Secondly, I would also like to make it clear that my travel to Dubai and other places have been financed by myself, clients, or family, and never, as numerously claimed, by the Government of Kenya. There were allegations that I travelled to Dubai using money meant for renovating a stadium.
“At the time, I was in Dubai recording content for the #Visit Dubai campaign, a trip that was fully funded by the client. The receipts are on my social-smart people can confirm instead of believing rumors,” she added.

Nasenya Condones with Protestors Families
Azziad commended Gen Z, as one of their own, for their efforts in holding the government accountable and fighting for the country’s future.
Likewise, she condoled with the families of the youth who died during the anti- Finance Bill protests.
Lastly, she affirmed her stance on supporting positive change using her platform and urged Kenyans to be kind.
“Finally, as a Gen Z, I am proud of all that we have accomplished in addressing government accountability in the last few days. My heart goes out to the families who lost their loved ones while we fought for the future of our country,” she added
“I have lent and will continue to lend my voice and my platform to support positive change in the country. It doesn’t hurt to be kind,” she concluded
