Family members of Brian Odhiambo who went missing after his alleged detention by KWS officers have been arrested outside KWS gate at Lake Nakuru National Park.
The arrested family members include Brian’s mother, his wife and brother.

In a statement CEO of Vocal Africa, Hussein Khalid, confirmed their arrest, stating that they were protesting outside the Lake Nakuru Park.
“Just been informed that Brian Odhiambo’s wife, mother and brother have been arrested outside the KWS gate at Lake Nakuru. They were protesting at the national park after information surfaced that Brian’s body had been seen inside the park,” said Hussein.

Several Family Members of Brian Odhiambo Have Been Arrested
Brian’s family has been in search of their kin’s whereabouts since he went missing on Saturday, January 18.
The family has visited hospitals and morgues in Nakuru without success.

Earlier new details emerged regarding the disappearance of Brian Odhiambo.
Speaking in a media interview, Abuya Mugendi- the family lawyer- said an informer has come forward claiming that Brian’s body is being held within the precincts of Lake Nakuru National Park.

The source alleges that Brian’s body was among six bodies discovered in a shallow grave within Lake Nakuru National Park.
“Because I have had a chance to speak to that informer. We believe there is a site, a graveyard to be precise at Lake Nakuru National Park,” Abuya narrated.
Informer Alleges Brian’s Body Was Dumped in a Shallow Grave
The new revelation prompted the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Odhiambo’s family to seek access to the park.
Upon their arrival, however, KWS officers denied them entry to add to the already rife speculations of foul play.
“DCI officers who should be able to process a crime scene are told you cannot process this crime scene because it is a protected area and we are the people protecting it, we must give you approval to get into this so that you can carry out your investigation,” Abuya said.

So far, the family lawyer, acting on behalf of Vocal Africa, has filed a complaint with the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) seeking urgent action regarding the whereabouts of Brian Odhiambo after KWS officers denied them entry, citing orders from their senior to verify the informer’s account.
