Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Beatrice Elachi’s son, Elvis Murakana Namenya, has passed away.
The news of his demise was first shared by Kileleshwa Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Robert Alai on Tuesday, March 25.

“Dear Beatrice Elachi, it is with a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences to you and your family on the tragic loss of your son, Elvis Murakana.
“As the MCA for Kileleshwa Ward, I join the people of Dagoreti North and beyond in mourning this profound loss. Losing a child is an unimaginable pain, and my thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time,” Alai wrote.

“May you find strength and solace in the love and support that surrounds you. Elvis, your fourth child, will forever remain in our hearts and memories. On behalf of the Kileleshwa Ward community, I offer our unwavering support and prayers for you and your family as you navigate this grief.”
By the time of publishing, the exact cause leading to his death had not been established.

Ruto Mourns Beatrice Elachi’s Son Elvis Murakana
President William Ruto mourned Murakana by sharing a Bible verse from Psalms.
“May God grant Mheshimiwa Beatrice Elachi and the family strength to bear with the loss of their dear son, Elvis Murakana. Be comforted by the word of the Lord in Psalm 147:3: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Rest In Peace, Elvis,” Ruto wrote.
ODM party said, “May God grant Beatrice Elachi (MP, Dagoretti North) and family the fortitude and strength to overcome the pain of losing her son Elvis Murakana Namenya. . As a party we stand with her during this difficult moment of mourning and grief.”
Shinyalu MP Fredrick Ikana Lusuli mourned the passing of Elvis stating, ” On behalf of my family and the great people of Shinyalu, I send my sincere condolences to my big sister and colleague Hon Beatrice Elachi and her family for the sad loss of their dear son Elvis.”
“May God give you strength to endure,” he added.

Murang’a nominated MCA Shaleen Wambui also extended her message of condolence to the family of Elachi for the loss of their dear son, Elvis. “May the Lord comfort you dearly.”
Elachi’s aide, Julius Bob Anyula Nakuti, also mourned the loss of Elvis, stating, “What a blow to life! Extending deepest, heartfelt condolences to Dagoreti North lawmaker Beatrice Kadeveresia Elachi on the devastating loss of her son.
“May his soul rest in peace, and may God comfort and console Mama Dago and her entire family. Take heart, Boss,” he added.
Politicians and Kenyans Mourn Death of Elvis
Journalist Bonnie Musambi mourned her son’s loss where he wrote, “Pole sana Beatrice Elachi for the loss of your beloved son Elvis Murakana. Sending you strength and comfort.”
A section of Kenyans has also taken to social media to mourn the passing of Elachi’s son, sharing glowing tributes.
“We all yearn for happiness, but sometimes we end up facing sadness. Mheshimiwa Beatrice Elachi CBS, may God give you strength during this trying moment. It shall be well. Makiwa, sorry for the loss of your son. May his soul rest in peace,” Vincent Agunda wrote.

Dr. Connie Lusweti mourned, stating, “On behalf of my family, the great people of Kakamega County, the Mulembe Community, Kenya at large, and the Mulembe Women Congress, I extend my heartfelt condolences to my sister and colleague, Hon. Beatrice Elachi, and her family on the passing of their beloved son, Elvis.
“May God grant you strength and comfort during this difficult time.”
Another user Nicholas Munguti stated, ” It’s always tragic to lose a loved one. May her son rest in peace. Life has a way of reminding us of all that no amount of power or privilege can shield anyone from grief.”
