Ndindi Nyoro Removed from Budget Committee in New Parliament Changes [FULL LIST]

Kiharu Member of Parliament, Ndindi Nyoro, is among MPs who have been replaced in respective National Assembly Departmental Committees following a raft of changes.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, on Tuesday, July 29, issued a notice on changes in various departmental committees, which have seen several lawmakers reshuffled while others have been replaced.

Nyoro has been ousted from the National Assembly Budget and Appropriations Departmental Committee and, in turn, sent to the Diaspora Affairs and Migrant Workers Committee.

“That, further to the resolution of the House of Wednesday, 5th March 2025, and Thursday, 6th March 2025, appointing members to various committees and pursuant to the provisions of standing order 175, this House further approves the appointment of the following members to the respective committees as specified hereunder,” said Wetang’ula.

“Diaspora Affairs and Migrant Workers Committee: Hon. Ndindi Nyoro, CBS, M.P. to replace Hon. Sankaire Lea Sopiato M.P. Budget and Appropriations Committee: Hon. (Dr.) Mugo Edwin Gichuki, M.P. to replace Hon. Ndindi Nyoro.” 

MP Nyoro has been reshuffled to the new committee months after he was replaced as the Budget and Appropriations Committee Chairperson by Alego Usonga MP Sam Atandi back in March.

Nyoro among MPs affected in new National Assembly Departmental Committees changes

• Departmental Committee on Blue Economy, Water and Irrigation:
  • Mwiruri Muthama Stanley to replace Chepkwony Charity Kathambi.
  • Dr. Osogo Bensuda Joyce Atieno to fill the slot previously held by the late Were Charles Ong’ondo.
• Departmental Committee on Labour:
  • Njoroge Mary Wamaua to replace Chelule Liza Chepkorir.
• Departmental Committee on Regional Development:
  • Chelule Liza Chepkorir to replace Otucho Mary Emase.
• Departmental Committee on Tourism and Wildlife:
  • Sankaire Leah Sopiato to replace Dr. Gichuki Edwin Mugo.
• Departmental Committee on Trade, Industry and Cooperatives:
  • Bwire John Okano to replace the slot previously held by Ministry of Public Service Cabinet Secretary Ruku Geoffrey Kiringa.
• Constitution Implementation Oversight Committee:
  • Mbai Nimrod Mbithuka to replace Karemba Eric Muchangi.

  • Karemba Eric Muchangi to replace Kagesi Kibai Ernest Ogesi.
  • Ntwiga Patrick Munene to replace Mbai Nimrod Mbithuka.
• Committee on Powers and Privileges:
  • Maina Jane Njeri to replace Bwire John Okano.
  • Ahmed Shakeel Shabir to replace Oyo0 James Onyango.
• Committee on Implementation:
  • Chepkowny Charity Kathambi to replace Mwiruri Muthama Stanley.
• Committee on National Cohesion and Equal Opportunity:
  • Muratha Anne Wanjiku Mugo to replace Maina Jane Njeri.
  • Orero Peter Ochieng’ to fill the slot previously held by the late Were Charles Ong’ondo.
• Deceentralized Funds Accounts Committee:
  • Oyoo James Onyango to replace Dr. Osogo Bensuda Joyce Atieno.
• Public Accounts Committee:
  • Otucho Mary Emase to fill the slot previously held by Public Service CS Ruku Geoffrey Kariuki Kiringa.
