Blue Lounge, a popular entertainment and dining spot in Eldoret, has officially announced its immediate closure, effective July 15, 2025.
In a statement addressed to its valued customers, the Blue Lounge management on Tuesday, July 15, expressed deep regret over the decision, citing “circumstances beyond our control” as the reason for shutting down.
“Over the years, your continued support, friendship, and trust have meant the world to us. From the casual meals to the special celebrations, you made Blue Lounge more than just a restaurant — you made it a vibrant community,” read part of the notice signed by the management and staff.
Known for its lively atmosphere, Blue Lounge had become a favorite spot for locals looking to enjoy casual dining, parties, and special events in Eldoret.

Blue Lounge Eldoret management issues an apology
The management expressed sincere gratitude to every customer who supported them over the years and apologized for any inconvenience caused by the sudden closure.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this sudden closure and appreciate your understanding during this time of transition,” the statement added.
As the establishment closes its doors, the team promised to carry warm memories and the honor of having served the Eldoret community.
The unexpected shutdown has sparked mixed reactions online, with many loyal patrons sharing their memories and expressing sadness over the loss of what many considered one of Eldoret’s iconic hangout spots.
“Blue lounge Eldoret is closing down, sad for us who have been patronising here,” said Arap Tilingi.

Vitalian Kemboi, on his part, said, “Too bad that businesses are closing down one after another.”
Blue Lounge Eldoret, located on Kisumu Road, offered a cozy and inviting environment designed for relaxation and social interaction.
The lounge featured comfortable seating arrangements and a diverse menu with beverages and light snacks.
It operated daily from 8 A.M and closed at 2 A.M, especially on weekends, making it accessible for both daytime and nighttime visitors.
The staff was known for friendly service, and the lounge often hosted live music and themed nights.
Blue Lounge served as a spot where guests could spend time with friends, engage with locals, or enjoy a moment alone.
