Step 1: Access the Online Services Portal

to start the process.
Step 2: Complete the Application Form
Fill in details about the facility, including ownership, location, and the type of services you intend to provide.
Facility types include dispensaries, clinics, hospitals, dental centers, maternity homes, funeral homes, and research institutions.
Step 3: Upload Required Documents
You must provide supporting documents such as:
Business registration documents (Certificate of Incorporation or Business Name).
Academic and professional certificates of medical staff
Valid practicing licenses and good standing certificates for staff
Architectural plans (for new constructions)
Environmental and sanitation compliance reports
Contract with a NEMA-approved medical waste management provider
List of shareholders and directors.

Step 4: Pay the Prescribed Fees
Each facility type is subject to a specific annual licensing fee. For example:
- Dispensary: Ksh5,000
- Medical Clinic: Ksh15,000
- Maternity Home: Ksh25,000
- Nursing Home: Ksh30,000
- Hospital Level 4: Ksh80,000
- Hospital Level 5: Ksh90,000
Public county facilities are exempt from fees.
Step 5: Facility Inspection

Step 6: Receive Your License
If the inspection is successful, the KMPDC will issue your registration certificate and annual operating license.
