The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) yesterday revised fuel prices designed to take effect from tonight to January 14, 2023.
According to the press release seen by The Kenya Times, “the prices of Super petrol remain unchanged and will retail at Ksh177 for Super Petrol, Diesel at Ksh162, and Kerosene at Ksh145.9 per litre.”
During the duration, the maximum allowed petroleum pump prices for Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene remain unchanged.
Additionally, EPRA has cross-subsidised diesel price with that of Super Petrol while a subsidy of Ksh25.07 per litre has been maintained for Kerosene in an effort to cushion consumers from the skyrocketing fuel prices witnessed in recent months.
EPRA added that: “The government will utilise the Petroleum Development Levy to compensate oil marketing companies for the difference in cost.”
