Urysia Limited has officially unveiled automotive brands Jeep and Citroën as part of its expanded portfolio in Kenya, ushering the company into a new era as a fully-fledged multi-brand dealership.
The company, which is the sole importer and distributor of Peugeot in Kenya and the East African region, will now host the three brands in its expanded portfolio of automotive brands, as well as provide after-sales service and original manufacturer spare parts for Peugeot, Jeep, and Citroën.
Speaking during the launch on November 25, Principal Secretary for Trade, Regina Ombam, commended Urysia for aligning its growth with Kenya’s industrialization agenda and responding to growing consumer demand for diverse mobility options.
Kenya’s automotive industry is evolving, and the dealers who succeed will be those who respond to the needs of today’s consumer: choice, reliability, and service excellence. Urysia’s transition to a multi-brand operation is a clear demonstration of that responsiveness and a strong vote of confidence in our market, reinforcing Kenya’s position as a hub for modern mobility solutions,” she said.
Urysia noted that the launch marks a transformational shift in its strategic direction, “positioning the company to meet the country’s evolving mobility needs through a wider product range, stronger customer support systems and enhanced access to world-class automotive technologies.”

In addition, the company noted that it will offer a wider range of passenger and commercial vehicles that meet the evolving mobility needs of the Kenyan market.

The move aligns with the global merger of PSA Groupe and FCA, which formed Stellantis, one of the world’s largest automotive groups. Through Stellantis, Urysia plans to bring globally recognized brands, advanced technologies, and innovative mobility solutions to the Kenyan market.

According to the company, the expansion will feature vehicles from Jeep, Citroën, and Peugeot. Each brand brings a distinct focus: Jeep is known for its adventure and lifestyle 4×4 models, Citroën emphasizes innovative, comfort-led engineering, and Peugeot offers versatile SUVs and sedans with a long-standing heritage of durability and performance.
The initiative also includes a strengthened after-sales network, comprising fully equipped service centers in Nairobi, a nationwide network of partner workshops, mobile service units, and brand-neutral technical expertise intended to reduce customer downtime.
Urysia Managing Director, Claude Mwende, highlighted the company’s approach to changing consumer expectations in Kenya.
“Customers today want more than a car — they want convenience, reliability and choice. By bringing together Peugeot, Jeep, and Citroën under one umbrella, we are creating a dealership experience that is versatile, customer-centric, and globally competitive,” he noted.
“Our new business strategy allows us to serve every segment, whether it’s lifestyle adventurers, family buyers, fleet operators, SMEs or ride-hailing drivers. This is the future of mobility retail in Kenya, and Urysia intends to lead it.”
Urysia dealership to offer flexible financing solutions
Mwende added that the dealership will also offer flexible financing solutions through financial institutions, tailored leasing packages for corporates and NGOs, structured fleet support services, and concierge-style customer care, including vehicle delivery, priority servicing, and pick-and-drop services.

The company noted that the expansion comes as demand for SUVs, pickups, and lifestyle vehicles grows, alongside increased interest in structured, experience-led dealerships. Urysia intends to introduce vehicles that combine advanced performance, enhanced safety, improved efficiency, and lower emissions while remaining accessible to a wide range of buyers.
The expansion also positions the company to support Kenya’s gradual shift toward electric mobility through Peugeot’s EV-ready platforms and Stellantis’ global innovation pipeline.
“Jeep’s Grand Cherokee, for instance, brings best-in-class performance, safety and comfort in the premium SUV segment; Citroën offers efficient and modern urban mobility solutions; while Peugeot continues to deliver versatile SUVs and sedans trusted across Kenya for decades,” Mwende added.
The upgraded showroom will feature the latest models from all three brands, including the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, and Gladiator; the Citroën C3, C3 Aircross, and C5 Aircross; and the ongoing Peugeot lineup that has been popular in Kenya for decades.
