WPP Scangroup Plc has announced changes to its Board of Directors, effective May 13, 2026, with the appointment of three new non-executive directors.
In a notice dated May 13, WPP Scangroup confirmed that Kagiso Musi, Nick Douglas, and Manuel Segimon have been appointed to the board.
“The Board of Directors of WPP Scangroup Pic (the “Company”) is pleased to announce the appointments of Ms. Kagiso Musi, Mr. Nick Douglas, and Mr. Manuel Segimon as non-executive directors, effective from 13th May 2026,” read part of the statement.
WPP Scangroup also announced the retirement of non-executive directors Jon Eggar, Patou Nuytemans, and Shahid Sadiq, effective on the same date, thanking them for their service and contributions.
The appointments come days after six minority shareholders holding 58.7 million ordinary shares, equivalent to 13.59 percent of WPP Scangroup Plc’s issued share capital, requested a Special General Meeting (SGM) to deliberate on proposed changes to the company’s board.
Shareholders expressed concern over what they termed a sustained decline in the firm’s financial, commercial, and strategic performance since February 2021.
Led by former founder and CEO Bharat Thakrar alongside former executive creative director Andrew White, the group noted that the company’s share price has fallen from KSh5.94 on February 18, 2021, to KSh2.30 by June 30, 2024

He has over 20 years of leadership experience within the WPP network, having held senior finance and operations roles at leading agencies including Y&R Group, Wunderman, and Wunderman Thompson across Europe and the Americas.
Manuel specializes in managing large and complex organizations, with strong expertise in strategic negotiations, business planning, and international business development.
