Kenyans can now travel directly to Saudi Arabia following the launch of Flynas’ new Nairobi–Riyadh route on September 30.
The airline, a leading low-cost carrier in the Middle East, is set to inaugurate the service with a formal dinner ceremony.
“Flynas, the Middle East’s leading low-cost airline, will today launch its new direct Nairobi–Riyadh flight at an Inaugural Dinner Ceremony,” read part of the Flynas statement.
The new route aims to enhance business travel, promote trade, and create investment opportunities between Kenya and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Flights will operate multiple times a week, offering convenient schedules for both leisure and business travellers.
The direct connection reduces travel time, making it easier for Kenyans to access Riyadh for tourism, cultural exchange, and religious travel.
Flynas’ expansion into Nairobi also strengthens Kenya’s position as a regional hub for international travel in East Africa.
Flynas Boosts Tourism and Business Ties
The Nairobi–Riyadh route is expected to increase cultural and economic exchange between the two countries.
Kenyan travellers will have easier access to Saudi Arabia for leisure, business, and religious trips such as Umrah and Hajj, while Saudi tourists and investors can explore Kenya’s growing tourism and business sectors.
The launch was welcomed by the Kenya Association of Travel Agents (KATA), which highlighted the potential for tailored travel packages that combine Riyadh’s vibrant attractions with Kenya’s leisure and investment opportunities.
