Another Decomposing Body Found in a Forest

The decomposing body of a middle-aged man has been found in a thicket on the outskirts of Kakamega town in Kakamega County.

Speaking to the media, locals said they found the body unclothed with a sack beside it.

One of the witnesses said the community members have been shocked by the incident and are waiting for the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to arrive at the scene.

“We are really shocked, there is a body that is found in a forest. That body has been found without clothes with a sack beside it. We are waiting for DCI detectives to come and identify the body,” the first witness said.

Another witness revealed that the body is swollen, and the head has no skin.

He suggested the body might belong to a domestic worker who has been missing for days but clarified that they are unsure of these reports.

“There are reports that there was a domestic worker who was staying but he has been missing for almost four days. We can’t be sure whether this is him or not. We are waiting for DCI to conduct investigations and find out what happened,” the second witness said.

The witness said they did not know the purpose of the sack found beside the body.

He added that some recent occurrences in the country leave Kenyans questioning what is really happening.

“We always hear such news on the radio and TV, but today I witnessed it myself, and now I am certain these things are real,” he stated.

Kakamega Residents Worried About Homicide Cases

The third witness said such reports create fear among people.

He added that the face was severely decomposed, making it impossible for the locals to identify the body.

“It makes us fear because some just goes missing and he is found dead with the head decomposed making it difficult to even know their identity,” he said.

Even if we turn the body, we can’t know who he is because the whole face is gone.”
