On July 1, 2025, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) released the 2025 placement results, assigning candidates who sat for the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) to various universities and colleges.
962,512 candidates sat for the 2024 KCSE, with 246,391 students attaining the minimum university entry grade of C+ and above, translating to 25.3%.
KUCCPS placed 310,502 students in various programs in universities and colleges.
Out of the 244,391 who scored C+ and above in 2024, 194,372 were placed to be programmes at various levels.
Here is a simple guide for first-year students on how to download their admission letters from the universities where they have been placed.
Before downloading your admission letter, you must first create an account on the university’s website by providing a few personal details. This will allow you to log in and access the admission documents.
Step-by-Step Procedure to Create an Account
- Visit the official website of the university you’ve been placed in.
- Look for the “Create Account,” “Student Registration,” or “Admission Application” section—this may vary by university.
- Click “Create Account.” A registration window will appear.
- Enter the following information:
- Your surname and other names
- A valid personal email address
5.Tick the “KUCCPS Student” checkbox, then provide any one of the following:
- Your KUCCPS email was used during registration
- Your KCSE index number (e.g., 00000000/2022)
- Your National ID number
- Select your identification document type.
- Create a password and re-enter it to confirm.
- Click “Sign Up.”

How to Log In and Download the Admission Letter
- Return to the university’s admissions portal.
- Click “Log In.”
- Enter the email address and password you used during account creation.
- After logging in, click on the “Admission Letter” tab or section.
- Download your admission letter and any other documents available on the portal.

Next Steps After Downloading
- Fill in all admission documents as required.
- Scan and upload the completed forms under the “My Documents” or “Uploaded Documents” section.

Kisii, Moi Among Universities with High 2025 KUCCPS Placements
Kisii University is set to receive 8,047 students in the 2025/2026 academic year, while Moi University is set to welcome 6,771 new students.
Similarly, Chuka University announced that it is set to admit nearly 7,000 freshers in the 2025/2026 academic year.
Rongo University shall receive 4,575 students, and Kibabii University shall welcome a total of 3,537 students.
