The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced 212 job vacancies across various departments as part of its effort to boost institutional capacity and deliver on its mandate under the Social Health Insurance Act, 2023.
In a public notice issued on October 28, SHA said it is seeking visionary, results-driven, and experienced professionals to fill senior management, administrative, and technical positions.
The move comes as the authority fully implements the new social health insurance framework aimed at providing equitable access to quality healthcare for all Kenyans.
The authority, a state corporation, is responsible for administering the Social Health Insurance Fund, Primary Healthcare Fund, and Emergency, Chronic, and Critical Illness Fund in collaboration with stakeholders.

Among the advertised roles are Legal Officer, Finance and Accounts Officer, Benefits Management Officer, Registration and Compliance Officer, and Human Resource Management and Development Officer. Requirements
Applicants are required to meet the integrity standards outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
Required documents include:
- Certificates of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
- Tax compliance certificates from the Kenya Revenue Authority
- Clearance from the Higher Education Loans Board, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission,
- Recognized Credit Reference Bureau.
Interested candidates must submit a detailed curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, a cover letter demonstrating their suitability for the role, and the contact details of at least 3 referees.
