Kenyan content creator Mungai Eve has dismissed claims that she is battling depression following her breakup with Director Trevor.
The speculation was fueled by a fake post, which went viral across social media platforms on September 1, 2025.
The false post suggested that Mungai was struggling, implying that she was reconsidering her choice to part ways with Trevor.
“I regret breaking up with Trevor. Where are those of you who were pushing me to leave him now? When I walked away, Kenyans online were busy cheering: ‘Go girl! You’re the next big thing. Trevor will learn. Girls for girls!’ But the truth is, here online, people will hype you to leave your man, quit your job, or close your business while promising endless support. When reality hits, you’re all alone,” the fake post read.
Mungai Eve, however, swiftly debunked the claims, terming the reports “very fake news.”
In a candid response, she clarified:
“Where did this story come from? This is completely fake news. I have never made such a comment. I am shocked.”
She also took to Instagram to laugh off the rumours, saying:
“I’m even surprised—how could I ever sit down and say something like that?”
And in response to claims that she was depressed, she firmly added:
“God forbid.”
