As of June 2024, the top ten largest shareholders in the Company held 600, 757 556 shares out of the total 600,757,556 shares, which translates to 75.98%.
Diageo Kenya Limited is the largest shareholder with 514,003,331 shares, which is 65% of the Company.
Standard Chartered Kenya Nominees A/C KE00-4667 comes in second with 22,935, 194 shares (2.90%).
The third largest shareholder is Standard Chartered Kenya Non-Resd. A/C KE10085 20,804,500 shares (2.63%)
Kenya Commercial Bank Nominees Ltd. A/C 915BB has 9,757,254 shares (1.23%), making it the fourth on the shareholders list.
Stanbic Nominees Limited R6631578 and Stanbic Nominees Ltd NR3530153-1 are next with 7,995,122 shares (1.01%) and 5,860,400 shares (0.74%) respectively.
Also on the list is Stanbic Nominees Ltd A/C NR1031461: 5,106,494 shares (0.73%) and Stanbic Nominees Ltd A/C NR1031436 with 5,039,345 shares (0.57%).
Secretary To The Treasury – “PF” Account The Permanent has 4,829,436 (0.61%).

Distribution of Shareholders
There are a total of 26,135 shareholders with shares at EABL, and they collectively hold 790,774,356 shares.
Out of this, 13,879 shareholders each hold between 1 and 500 shares.
This accounts for 2,569,432 shares or 0.32% of the total.
There are 9,811 shareholders with shares between 501 to 5,000.
They own 15,627,776 shares, which translates to 1.98% of the total.

Besides, 944 shareholders hold 6,599,813 shares, representing 0.85%, within the range of 5,001 to 10,000 shares.
EABL has 1,224 shareholders, each holding between 10,001 and 100,000 shares, accounting for 35,217,930 shares, or 4.49%.
Only 236 shareholders own between 100,001 and 1,000,000 shares, totalling 70,084,161 shares, which is 8.86%.
Notably, just 41 shareholders hold more than 1,000,000 shares each.
This group own 660,581,244 shares, which is 83.54% of the Company’s shares.

EABL Directors’ Shareholding
EABL Group Managing Director and CEO Jane Karuku owns 1,296 shares, while the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Risper Ohaga has 700 shares.
The Group’s Independent Non-Executive Directors, Caroline Musyoka and Ory Okolloh, own 5,782 and 1,220 shares respectively.
