Valentine Wanjiru Githae, a Kenyan lady based in the United States (US), has been a topic of discussion for confronting former Deputy President (DP) Rigathi Gachagua over his “tribal politics”.
Githae asked Gachagua to embrace a more nationalistic approach instead of focusing on the Mt. Kenya region at the expense of other communities.
“If we position ourselves as Kikuyu, another tribe will also do that, and before we know it, we are back to the same problem,” she cautioned.
Githae mentioned that she is from Karandi village in Mathira Constituency, Nyeri County.
Gachagua is the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Mathira Constituency.
She introduced herself as a representative of the 6.25 Movement.
The 6.25 Movement’s website recognizes her as the founder.
According to their website, Githae founded the Movement in January 2025.
Its name honors a critical period between June 18th and June 26th, 2024, when countless brave young Kenyans entered Parliament grounds in protest of the Finance Bill, and many were tragically shot and killed.
Githae’s LinkedIn profile also recognizes her as the founder of 6.25 Movement.
