Alfred Mutai Kipronoh is a first-term Member of the National Assembly, representing Kuresoi North Constituency in Nakuru County, and was elected in August 2022 on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket.

He ventured into the illegal charcoal-burning business, which is unlicensed and fraught with challenges like arrests by forest officers.
Despite these difficulties, he used the income to support his family and pay for his school fees.

Following his education, Alfred Mutai served as a Member of the County Assembly (MCA) for Sirikwa Ward in the Nakuru County Assembly from 2017 to 2022.
In the 2022 general election, he was elected Member of Parliament for Kuresoi North Constituency on a UDA ticket, defeating the incumbent Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Moses Cheboi.
