Exiting County Executive Committee Member
County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Cooperative Development in Makueni County, Elizabeth Nduge Muli, was recently dismissed from her office.
In a letter dated March 9, 2026, and addressed to Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr., the termination of Nduge’s appointment was formally communicated, stating that the decision took effect on March 6.
According to the governor, Elizabeth’s dismissal was based on Section 31 of the County Governments Act, which grants the governor the power to dismiss members of the county executive committee.
The governor appointed Damaris Mumo Kavoi, the County Executive Committee Member for Finance and Socio-Economic Planning, to act as Agriculture CECM pending further administrative action.
Former CECM for Water, Irrigation, and Sanitation John Kasyoki Kieti resigned, citing personal reasons, and Japheth Musyoka Mang’oka was appointed as the acting CECM.
Nicholas Masila Nzioka is currently the acting CECM for Trade, Marketing, Industry, Culture, and Tourism. His appointment was made after the death of former CECM Sonia Nzilani Musyoka.
