First lady-in-waiting, Rachel Ruto took to her social media to congratulate her husband William Ruto after the Supreme Court upheld his election as the president-elect.
Moreover, in her post, Rachel said she is proud of her husband, and she prays that God guides him through his tenure.
“Congratulations Bill my love. God has done it. I am proud of you! May He give you the grace & wisdom to lead Kenya into greatness! You were born & destined for this!” she wrote.
“Heb 10:23 – Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm for God can be trusted to keep His promise,” Rachel added.
Likewise, after the apex court upheld his election, William Ruto said he owes his success to God.
“With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible,” Ruto wrote, quoting the scripture in Mark 10:27.
Nevertheless, the President-elect is set to be sworn in on Tuesday, September 13.

In addition, the Supreme Court on Monday, September 5 unanimously upheld William Ruto’s win in the August 9 presidential elections.

Moreover, while delivering the verdict, Chief Justice Martha Koome stated that the petitioners failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that there was electoral malpractice to warrant annulment.
