Biography
Catherine Ndereba is a retired Kenyan marathon runner. Between 2003 and 2008, she finished in the top two in five successive global championship marathons.
Her illustrious career includes winning silver medals in the 2004 and 2008 Olympic marathons, and gold medals in the 2003 and 2007 World Championships marathons.
Catherine also earned a silver medal in the 2005 World Championships marathon. In addition to these achievements, Ndereba boasts four Boston Marathon victories and two Chicago Marathon wins.
