Ivy “Namu” Namulindwa Raburu is a YouTuber, singer, and content creator who rose to public limelight through her relationship with Kenyan media personality Willis Raburu.

The two went public with their relationship in 2021 shortly after Raburu’s divorce from his first wife, Marya Prude.

However, on June 17, Namu confirmed her breakup with media personality Willis after five years together.

Early Life and Educational Background

Born on October 17, 1994, Namu comes from a multicultural background, with Kenyan (Kikuyu) and Ugandan roots but largely raised in Kenya.

Ivy Namu has an educational background in law at the University of Nairobi and the Kenya School of Law, before shifting her focus to content creation.

Ivy is a content creator and YouTuber who started growing her online presence around 2020, producing lifestyle, personal storytelling, and entertainment-focused content.

She is also a musician, and her debut single, “Concrete Jungle,” talks about climate change while promoting sustainable development to protect the environment for future generations.

Namu transitioned into content creation after choosing not to pursue a legal career, saying it aligned more closely with her passions.

She later shared that after the birth of her children, she stepped back from her professional work to be fully present during their early developmental years.

Her Romantic Relationship With Willis Raburu

In 2021, Namu disclosed that she first met Raburu while she was working at Hot 96. Their encounter came after she featured on his show 10 Over 10 in November 2019, an appearance that sparked a growing connection between them.

The two later started dating in 2020, shortly after Willis had separated from his then-wife, Marya Prude.

In July 2022, Raburu proposed to Namu on their son’s first birthday.

The couple later shared the news of their second child’s birth on September 12, 2022, further expanding their family.

In her YouTube Channel, Ivy stated the following fun facts about her:

  • Namu has a strong interest in astrology and often relates to its traits.
  • Ivy describes her spirituality as personal rather than strictly religious, having been raised Catholic and also attending a Christian Baptist school.
  • Namu has 31 teeth due to having one less canine.
  • Ivy has five tattoos and three piercings.
  • Namu is very emotional and easily moved to tears by movies or touching moments.
  • Ivy enjoys sleeping and can fall asleep almost anywhere with ease.
  • Namu prefers sneakers over heels and considers herself a sneaker enthusiast.

Namu has at times shared glimpses of her family on Instagram, including her elder brother, Kelvin Mulindwa, and her youngest brother, Marcus.
