While most aspects of his life have been private, Jomo Kenyatta Jr hit headlines in 2023 after police raided his home in Karen over alleged possession of firearms.
His father, who was at odds with the newly-sworn in administration of President William Ruto, responded to the incident and dared the police to come for him instead of going after Jomo.
Jomo Jr would later file a case at the High Court seeking orders to compell the government to rescind its move to withdraw his gun licence.

Jomo Kenyatta Jr is married to Fiona Achola, who hails from the lineage of prominent Luo politician, Dr William Odongo Omamo.
Jomo and Fiona Achola sealed their union in a beautiful traditional Kikuyu wedding ceremony held at Ichaweri, Gatundu, the family’s ancestral home in a memorable ceremony on October 22, 2016.
Two years later, on April 8, 2018, the couple celebrated yet another lavish wedding, an all-white ceremony at State House.
