Daniel Wanyama Sitati is the Member of Parliament for Webuye West Constituency, currently serving his third term in the National Assembly.
Elected for the first time in 2013, Sitati has retained his seat in the 2017 and 2022 general elections.
He is a member of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) under the Kenya Kwanza coalition.

Daniel Wanyama began his education at Chebesi Primary School between 1975 and 1981, where he completed his Certificate of Primary Education (CPE).
He proceeded to Bungoma High School for his O-Level education from 1982 to 1985 and later joined St. Peter’s Mumias High School for his A-Level studies between 1987 and 1988.
In 1992, and again between 2002 and 2005, he enrolled at the Cooperative Bank Training Centre, where he pursued Banking Certificate and Management Courses.
In 2008, Sitati joined the University of Nairobi, where he pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Option) degree, furthering his knowledge in financial management and public accountability.
Career life
Daniel Wanyama’s professional life started in 1990 when he joined the Cooperative Bank of Kenya as a clerk. He worked at the bank until 2007, eventually rising to the position of Branch Manager.
In 1998, he briefly worked as Sports Manager at Kasarani Sports Centre, combining his leadership skills with a passion for sports.
From 2009 to 2012, he served as Branch Manager at K-Rep Bank, now part of Sidian Bank, focusing on microfinance and grassroots development.
Since 2008, Sitati has also worked as a self-employed financial consultant.
In politics, he was first elected MP in 2013, and has since served in various parliamentary committees, including Labour and Social Welfare, National Cohesion and Equal Opportunity, and Sports, Culture and Tourism.
He has also been a member of the Catering and Health Club Committee.
