Martin Wanyonyi Pepela is the current Member of Parliament for Webuye East Constituency, elected in August 2022 on a Ford Kenya ticket.

Martin Wanyonyi began his early career with the United Disabled Persons of Kenya (UDPK), where he served as a Programme Officer from 2009 to 2013, advocating for people living with disabilities.
In 2013, he entered elective politics as a nominated Member of the County Assembly (MCA) in Bungoma.
He retained the seat in 2017 after winning as an elected independent candidate and was then the Member of the County Assembly for Ndivisi Ward.
He broke new ground in August 2022 when he was elected Member of Parliament for Webuye East, running on a Ford Kenya ticket and becoming Kenya’s first MP living with albinism.
He secured 11,600 votes, defeating several contenders.
