Pauline Lenguris is a Kenyan politician and the current Woman Representative for Samburu County under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Early childhood and educational background
Pauline Lenguris began her educational journey at Lodokejek Primary School, where she studied from 1983 to 1990 and earned her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).
She continued to Kisima Secondary School between 1991 and 1994, completing the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
In 1995, she enrolled at Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), obtaining a Certificate in Community Health Nursing in 1998.
Seeking broader developmental knowledge, she went to Kleinmond, South Africa, and in 2004–2005, earned a Diploma in Development Education.

After completing her nursing training at the Kenya Medical Training College, Pauline Lenguris joined the Ministry of Health in 1998 as an Enrolled Community Nurse.
She worked at various health facilities in Samburu County, providing frontline healthcare services, maternal health support, and community sensitization programs.
In 2005, following her diploma studies in South Africa, she became actively involved in community development initiatives, integrating health services with gender and development training.
Between 2010 and 2016, while pursuing her Bachelor’s in Development Studies at Mount Kenya University, she took on greater leadership roles within health and development projects, particularly those integrating healthcare delivery with social and economic empowerment initiatives.

Political Career
Pauline Lenguris made her first entry into elective politics in 2013, contesting the Samburu County Woman Representative seat under the United Republican Party (URP), which was then part of the Jubilee coalition.
She lost the election but continued her community engagements and professional work.
In the 2017 general election, she again vied for the Samburu Woman Representative seat, this time under the Jubilee Party, but was unsuccessful.
Her persistence was rewarded in the 2022 general election, when she contested on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, the dominant party in the Kenya Kwanza coalition.
In Parliament, Lenguris has been a member of key committees, including the Departmental Committee on Health and the Committee on Regional Integration, where she contributes her expertise in healthcare, gender, and development to policy debates and oversight.
