Media Personality Shatta Bway has joined the Nation FM. This comes days after he announced his exit at TV47 under Cape Media.
In his announcement, Shatta Bway had hinted at a return to radio, stating that he would be doing an 8pm to midnight show.
“I have Officially Left Cape Media (TV & Radio 47 and Maybets). I leave with no regrets, only gratitude and a genuine desire to see Cape Media go even higher,” Shatta Bway announced his exit.
“Alright my people, it’s Official, I am back on the Radio Monday to Friday, 8 pm to Midnight, 4 hours of pure niceness,” he added.
In an update on Thursday, the radio presenter announced that he will debut on Nation FM’s show titled Rockers Nation on May 20, 2025, at Nation FM.
Shatta Bway will link up with Selector Munga, a DJ, in the new show that will run from 8pm to 11 pm every weekday.
“Finally, the wait is over. Leo (today) 8 pm we go live as I introduce to you another Wicked Selekta,” he wrote.
This marks the third major radio station in his career, having previously hosted shows at Radio Citizen and Radio 47.
He now takes the reins of Rockers Nation, which airs from 8:00 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday.

Shatta Bway spent five years at Radio Citizen, where he gained prominence as a co-host of the popular mid-morning reggae show Waks Tikitaka, alongside Q-Tee and DJ Rambo. His engaging style and connection with listeners helped solidify his reputation in the Kenyan radio scene.

In March 2024, Shatta Bway transitioned to Radio 47, part of Cape Media, which also owns TV47. At Radio 47, he not only served as a radio host but also took on the role of Director of Projects and Strategy for Maybets, the company’s betting arm. His tenure at Cape Media lasted just over a year.
At the same time, media personality Claudia Naisabwa has joined Nation FM as the host of their new mid-morning show called “Vibe Shift”.
Claudia will be hosting the show alongside Brian Aseli, who has been moved from the Evening Drive. The show will run from 10 am to 2 pm on weekdays.

In addition, Barbra Koinange will be hosting the Praise Break from 4- 6 a.m. Babra left Pearl Radio in April 2025.

Other Media Personalities Who Have Joined Nation Media
Also joining Nation FM’s new line-up are Harry Araka and Nyanduko Nyabuko.
The weekday breakfast show will remain intact, airing simultaneously on radio and TV from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., will be helmed by Eric Latiff, Janet Mbugua, and Mariam Bishar.
The drive-time slot, Ride and Vibe, will be hosted by Harry and Nyanduko from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., promising energy-packed afternoons for commuters and evening listeners.
