Founder and chairman of Royal Media Service (RMS) Samuel Kamau Macharia and former Principal Secretary of Interior Ministry Karanja Kibicho joyously celebrated the birthday of their mother-in-law Loise Githae Githandui.
Mrs. Githae, mother to RMS Vice chairperson Purity Gathoni Macharia turned 102 on April 6, 2024.

The vibrant ceremony attended by family members and friends took place in Marurumo village, Kirinyaga County where joy and happiness filled the air with songs of celebration and laughter.
SK Macharia thanked and commended the Githae family for their exemplary unity and warmth.

“Githae family is a great family and it’s not worthy saying anymore because we shouldn’t. It is a nice family,” he said.
Praise and Tribute to Loice
Karanja Kibicho also expressed gratitude for the warm reception at the Githae family home and thanked SK Macharia for taking them in as family.

“We just want to take this opportunity to thank the Githae family for their warm reception in this home,” he said.
“We are no longer referred as sons-in-law but as the sons of this family and we thank God.”

Furthermore, former Finance Cabinet Secretary Robinson Njeru Githae emphasized the significance of the celebrating Loise’s birthday as a way of giving thanks and gratitude for life and good health.
“We decided to hold a birthday party for her so as to celebrate her and to give thanks to God and also to her,” he said.
However, the family said that despite her age, Mrs. Githae remains in good health and spirits.

“We are actually very happy when we are attending to her because she has also attended to us for all those years when we were young. Although she’s old she’s not in any pain and she’s responding,” Robinson Njeru remarked.
As they gathered to honor Mrs. Githae, the love and respect shared among family members and friends highlighted the importance of cherishing and celebrating moments of joy and togetherness.
