Zari Hassan and her husband, Shakib Lutaya, have reconciled and even embarked on a spiritual journey together.
The couple recently shared photos of themselves happily strolling in Saudi Arabia, hinting at a renewed bond.
Zari took to Snapchat to document their journey, revealing their Emirates Business class flight to Dubai with the caption “Umrah 2024,” signifying their participation in the sacred pilgrimage.
Umrah is a voluntary spiritual journey for Muslims to visit the holy Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
It is often referred to as the “minor pilgrimage” and is considered a way to cleanse one’s soul and seek forgiveness from life’s burdens through devotion to Allah.
The rites of Umrah include assuming the state of Ihram, circling the Kaaba seven times, running between Safa and Marwah, and shaving or clipping hair for men and women, respectively.
Zari & Shakib’s separation
The reconciliation comes after a period of separation announced on February 26, when Zari disclosed parting ways with Shakib.
Shakib on the other hand had sparked online speculation after sharing a series of cryptic messages on his socials on February 22.
Many believed that the messages were directed towards his wife Zari as reports of their marriage being on the rocks emerged.

The messages posted on his Instagram page stated, “May people with pure intentions find people with pure intentions.“
They had also deleted photos featuring the two of them from their social media platforms.
“Social media makes you admire people you should be praying for,” he posted then.
Socialite spills the beans on her separation with Shakib
In an interview with Millard Ayo, she explained that the decision was mutual, emphasizing the importance of space in their relationship.

“Yeye kusema he was going back to Uganda it was more like we give each other space and see how this goes,” she noted.
Addressing speculation linking the split to a video appearance with Diamond Platinumz, Zari clarified that issues with Shakib existed prior to the controversial video.
“Shakib and I have had issues before. That is why in November and December, I decided to delete his photos on my Instagram page.”
“We had big issues, and it is not because I did the video that Shakib has left South Africa,” Zari revealed.
Zari responds to reports on disrespect
In response to reports of disrespect surrounding the video, she acknowledged Shakib’s feelings and expressed regret for not discussing it with him beforehand.
Additionally, she admitted her mistake in not informing him about the video with Diamond, seeking forgiveness and acknowledging her error.
“My mistake was that I did not tell Shakib that I had done a promotional video with Diamond. That is where I am wrong.”
“He was also caught by surprise, and he said he felt disrespected when I am around the father of my children. I have asked for forgiveness,” said Zari in the interview.

Shakib with another woman
Addressing the video that made headlines showcasing Shakib cuddling up to another woman.
Zari revealed that the woman was one of Shakib’s exes and that Shakib had deliberately released the video so as to get back at her for disrespecting him.
“Regarding that video Shakib gave two friends of his who are bloggers for circulation. It was more like, if you can be chilling with your exes like than then I also have exes with whom I can hang out with.” she said.
Sources close to the couple reveal that this reconciliation signifies a deeper understanding between Zari and Shakib, showcasing their willingness to overcome obstacles together.
