22-year-old Kenyan Allan Kiplimo has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of fellow Kenyan Caleb Leriano in Australia.
Kiplimo, from Brabham, Perth, was arrested on March 13 by Western Australia Police in coordination with South Australia Major Crime detectives.
An extradition warrant was granted by Magistrate Belinda Coleman, and Kiplimo was flown to Adelaide on March 14 to face a murder charge.
In a video captured by 9News Adelaide, as seen online by The Kenya Times, Alan Kiplimo was “perp-walked” through Adelaide Airport, with detectives marching him through the terminal amid flashing cameras.
How Alan Kiplimo is linked to the murder
According to an Australian Media source, The West Australian, Alan Kiplimo was accused of murdering Caleb Leriano (24, Kenyan chef in Adelaide) after an alleged assault at Leriano’s Morphett Vale home on March 10, 2026.
Leriano was found unconscious in his crashed red BMW 320i at 1:30 a.m. on March 11.
According to the police, Leriano was found with life-threatening injuries that he suffered from an assault before the crash, and died at the scene.
Police noted that his injuries were “not consistent with the collision,” indicating he had been assaulted before the crash.
Investigators linked Alan Kiplimo to the crime through his phone location pings, DNA found in the BMW, and CCTV footage showing him fleeing the scene.
