Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) General Francis Ogolla has finally been laid to rest after three days of mourning at his home in Ng’iya, Siaya County.

In accordance with military traditions, the Kenyan Defense Forces (KDF) presented a collection of memorial items to the family following the burial of the CDF.
The solemn ceremony took place after the burial, where KDF officials, alongside grieving family members, gathered to honor the memory of the departed serviceman.

Amidst heartfelt condolences and expressions of gratitude for the soldier’s dedicated service, KDF Major General Jeff Nyagah, the Force Commander for the East African Community (EAC), handed over a list of items to the widow Eileen Ogolla.
The items symbolize the nation’s appreciation for her husband Francis Ogolla’s sacrifice.

1. Folded Flags: Major General Nyagah presented a folded national flag and a military flag, symbolizing the honor and dignity with which the fallen soldier served his country. This cherished symbol serves as a poignant reminder of his commitment and valor on the battlefield.
