Businesswoman Ann Njeri Njoroge has roped in Kapsaret Member of Parliament (MP) Oscar Sudi in the Ksh17 billion oil saga.
Speaking to a local media station on Sunday, November 19, Njeri stated that she met the MP while being interrogated by Energy Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir.
Further, she noted that when she questioned why Sudi was in the room, she was notified that the MP was there to listen in to the interrogation.
In addition, she lamented that the meeting with Chirchir took place when the Ksh17.2 billion fuel consignment, which she claimed ownership of, was held at the port of Mombasa.
“I met Oscar Sudi in the office of CS Chirchir, and I was informed that Sudi had been sent from the big office to listen in on the meeting and take back a report,” Njeri stated while speaking from her hideout.

The embattled businesswoman narrated that she was first informed that the consignment belonged to someone else when she met with Energy Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir.
In addition, Ann Njeri said she was sent to meet the CS by officials from the Kenya Ports Authority, after she refused to surrender all her documents.
“I met KPA officials who gave me a contact of another individual who was supposed to help me with the processes. When I met this individual, he asked if I had shipping documents, which I refused to surrender to him.
“He then asked me to meet either CS Chirchir or the president if I wanted the fuel released,” added Njeri.

Ombeta on Another DCI Meeting
At some point, she noted, she was forced at gunpoint to surrender the consignment and denounce its ownership.
Njeri’s Lawyer Cliff Ombeta stated that the businesswoman had been summoned to surrender herself at the DCI headquarters by November 19, to be granted a police bond.
“Why are we taking ourselves to the DCI headquarters to be granted a Ksh100,000 cash bail, when she did not give it to her the first time, she presented herself and disappeared.
“What is it that they have only realized now when she is the one complaining. She is the one who has lost the fuel,” stated Ombeta.
Njeri Speaks of Her Mother’s Knowledge of her Wealth
Also, Njeri revealed that she had been in the oil business for more than 30 years insisting that she was not a con as claimed.
“I am in the oil, gas and commodities business. I have been doing this business for 33 years. I do not know how people who have money look like, we are all human beings,” she stated.
Furthermore, Njeri stated that her mother did not know that she was wealthy, adding that her mother was contented with the help she gave her.
She also denied having any dealings with President William Ruto or former president Uhuru Kenyatta.
