Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition’s planned town hall meeting in Murang’a County has been cancelled.
The meeting, which was scheduled for Thursday, April 20 in Murang’a County was cancelled after Murang’a Police Commander David Mathiu rejected the coalition’s request to hold the town hall meeting.
The Murang’a police boss noted that police are already deployed elsewhere and Azimio could have notified them earlier in order to prepare.
The police commander said the notice should have been submitted four days prior to the meeting, instead of the two days that Azimio issued the notice, adding that as a result, the meeting will not be allowed to take place.
