A 27-year-old caretaker called the police to report that he had murdered his girlfriend before abruptly disconnecting the call and going into hiding.
The suspect informed officers at the Isinya police station in Kajiado County that on February 3 he had killed Risper Ngendo Munene, 24.

He also told the police that Risper’s body was at a house where he worked as a caretaker.
The house, according to the caretaker, was in Olooltepes sub-location, Oloosirkon location of the Isinya sub-county.

However, after his confession, he switched off his phone, making it difficult for the police to trace him.

Police Find Body After Call with Caretaker
After the phone call, police officers rushed to the location over the weekend and discovered Ngendo’s body inside the locked house.
Her remains were found on a bed, covered with a blanket, with black marks on her limbs and neck.
Also, the police officers noted that the body appeared swollen, suggesting possible strangulation or blunt force trauma.
Furthermore, investigations revealed that Ngendo had travelled to Isinya to visit the suspect before the tragic incident unfolded. The motive behind the murder remains unclear.

Manhunt Launched for the Suspect
Following the discovery, the law enforcement officers launched a manhunt for the suspect, urging the public to provide any information that could assist in his capture.
Nonetheless, Ngendo’s decomposed body was moved to Nairobi Funeral Home (City Mortuary) awaiting postmortem.
In a separate incident, police officers are investigating the murder of a male patient who had been admitted to the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
According to preliminary reports, a kitchen knife was used in the fatal attack on 39-year-old Gilbert Kinyua, which allegedly occurred in the early hours of Friday, February 7, morning.
Kinyua’s lifeless body was discovered on his hospital bed with a slit throat inside Ward 7B at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
The deceased had been admitted to the facility on December 11, 2024, for treatment of a cerebral disorder.
Authorities noted that another patient in the same ward, who was also receiving treatment for a similar condition, was unable to recall or explain what transpired before or after the shocking incident.
