Football fans in Kenya can now start securing their seats for the highly anticipated TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024, organised by the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), after tickets officially went on sale online.
This announcement ends weeks of anxious waiting, especially with the tournament — co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania — set to kick off on August 2, 2025.
While fans in Uganda and Tanzania are expected to receive ticketing details in the coming days, Kenyan fans have a head start in purchasing tickets for group stage matches.
The ticketing rollout went live on Wednesday, July 23, following the awarding of the official CHAN 2024 ticketing tender to Mookh, an online ticketing platform, to handle all ticket sales in Kenya.
As excitement builds across East Africa, fans are urged to grab their tickets early to avoid missing out on the action.
Kenyan supporters can log on to chan.mookh.com to purchase tickets for any of the group stage fixtures to be played within the country.
Ticket categories and prices are as follows: Regular: Ksh200, VIP: Ksh500 and VVIP: Ksh1,000
Step-by-step process of purchasing tickets
Visit chan.mookh.com, select the match you want to purchase a ticket for by clicking “Buy Tickets”
Select quantity (number of tickets you want to purchase for the match), and the ticket category
Choose to pay via M-PESA mobile money or card
Enter your personal details (name, phone and e-mail)
For paying via card option, you’ll be directed to a new page where you’ll be required to enter the card details for a successful billing
For the M-PESA option, you can choose to pay automatically (prompt) or manually (Go to your M-PESA menu>Select Lipa na M-Pesa>Select Pay Bill>Enter Business Number:935250>Enter Unique Account Number generated by Mookh>Enter Amount based on ticket category and number>Confirm Payment
After payment is confirmed, you will receive your ticket by SMS or email. You can also download it as a pdf online.
Note that no physical tickets will be issued or accepted – fans are advised not to fall for scammers selling fake printed tickets.
For those with no smartphones, one can borrow a smartphone, use a laptop, or visit a cybercafé. Follow the steps above and after receiving your text, just show the SMS at the gate on the day of the match.
Each ticket is valid for one match only during the month-long continental tournament.
The opening ceremony and first match will be staged at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, while the closing ceremony and final match will be held in Nairobi.

Other venues include Mandela National Stadium (Namboole) in Kampala, Uganda, and the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar.
Kenya is slated to host matches at Moi International Sports Centre (MISC), Kasarani and Nyayo Stadium, with all Harambee Stars group stage games set to take place at Kasarani.

CAF Unveils “PAMOJA” campaign and official Poster for 2024 CHAN
The Confédération Africaine de Football on Monday officially launched the CAF CHAN 2024 campaign, unveiling the tournament’s official poster and theme under the banner “PAMOJA”.
“At the heart of the campaign is the word PAMOJA, a Swahili term meaning “unity”. More than just a slogan, PAMOJA embodies the spirit of togetherness, harmony, and shared ambition. It reflects the collective strength of African communities and the values that football brings to life, teamwork, collaboration and solidarity,” said CAF in a statement.
“The official poster, revealed today across CAF’s digital platforms and broadcast partners, visually encapsulates the vibrancy of African football and the unique cultural heritage of the host nations.”
The TotalEnergies CAF CHAN is reserved exclusively for players who ply their trade in their domestic leagues. It is a celebration of homegrown talent and a showcase of the depth and diversity of African football.
As excitement builds for CHAN 2024, the PAMOJA campaign will roll out across multiple media platforms, incorporating fan engagement activities, digital storytelling, and grassroots football initiatives aimed at strengthening the connection between the tournament and African communities.
