Kenyan comedian Kennedy Odhiambo, popularly known as Crazy Kennar, has disclosed the heartbreaking news of losing his newborn son just 4 days to his happy country show.
The Comedian took to stage on Saturday night 16th December breaking the news to his fans during his Happy Country show at the Kenya International Conference Centre (KICC).
At the time Crazy Kennar candidly shared the challenging journey he and his family had been through during the planning of the show to ensure its success.
“Unfortunately, my son died four days ago. It has been a very tough journey for me because we had to go through all that and at the same time do the show,” said Kennar.
The comedian did not however reveal the cause of his son’s death or his name, but he thanked his fans for their support and prayers.
Crazy Kennar Appeal to Kenyans
Likewise, the comedian who is also a mental health advocate took the chance and asked people to be each other’s keeper while urging them to check on those who appear happy.

“So, my words as happy citizens are that whenever you see somebody walking while smiling, just go and ask him if he is okay or not. Let’s be our brother’s keepers, our sister’s keepers and let’s love one another,” said Kennar.
Notably Crazy Kennar revealed the news of his first ever live show on 20th September 2023 noting that it had always been his dream.
“I’ve been thinking about it for the past six years, he said. “I want to do a live show on stage. I want to actualize digital comedy into live stage comedy, a show that will have 6000 people in attendance this December,” said Kennar.
Happy Country Show
Likewise, while making his announcement, Crazy Kennar recounted his journey into comedy and how his fans have helped him grow.
“The first time I started content creation was around 2017. I never thought of how big I could grow. I never even in my wildest dreams imagined that I could leave the country to go and shoot content. All these have been possible because of the support you guys have given me,” Kennar stated then.

At the time, his ambitious plans were not well received by critics who felt it was impossible to host such kind of a live comedy.
Nonetheless, his Saturday show sold out and impressed many with several Kenyan creatives taking the stage with him.
Notably his Happy Country show saw the who is who in the creative industry attend among them Sauti Sol artist Bien, Flaqo, and Awinja.
