In an interview on NTV, Zainab Ismail who was hosting the CS during prime-time news asked Nakhumicha whether she feels like she could have done better considering her statements that drew widespread condemnation.
In her response, CS Nakhumicha said President William Ruto was more concerned with the person involved than the criticism on social media.
“The President said the critics does not matter, whoever matters is who is in the floor dancing to the dust.
I want to believe that at that point in time I was dancing to the dust,” she said.
Further, the health docket boss said if she will not hesitate to correct mistakes because she is part of the government.
“You know if there is a mistake, we have to correct it.
I can’t sit in government and wait for people to do things, if I can do it then why not?” she said.
In addition, she stated she is working with her colleagues adding she knows her lane which is on health care matters.
Furthermore, CS Nakhumicha said she represents government wherever she goes and will not be afraid to make necessary decisions when situations demand her to.
“Not that I would do it again, maybe I would do it better than I did it. I will be a responsive citizen and equally a decisive leader,” she said.

Nakhumicha Order
CS Nakhumicha on Saturday, July 29 ordered for the transfer of the OCS of Matisi within Trans Nzoia County.
This was because of the increased cases of insecurity in his area of area.
While addressing mourners in Saboti, Trans-Nzoia County, CS stated that she needed no permission from anyone in government to order the transfer of the said police officer.

āIn the government that I serve, we apply a technique called one government approach.
Interior CS Kithure Kindiki must not be physically present here to transfer an OCS. I am a CS in President William Rutoās government and I hereby order that the County Commander ensures that Matisi OCS leaves by evening Sunday, July 30, āshe said.
Further, the CS said she would report to Prof Kindiki the action she took emphasizing that it was a serious matter.
