Inside Bahati and Diana Marua’s 10-Year Love Story
Bahati, whose real name is Kevin Kioko, and Diana Marua’s relationship began in 2016 after the two met during the production of his music video for the love song Mapenzi.
According to Bahati, he was looking for a female model to feature in the video when he remembered Diana, who had previously liked one of his Instagram photos.
Bahati later revealed that he made Diana his girlfriend within five weeks of meeting her. He initially introduced her publicly as his prayer partner.
The couple has built a family together, welcoming three biological children; the family now has 5 children, including Bahati’s adopted son and his firstborn daughter from a previous relationship.
On November 4, 2026, Bahati announced the release of his new track, Uinuliwe, marking his return to music after more than a year.
“It has been over a year without a new song, and as we look forward to #TheBahatisBigDay this Friday, I felt like I needed to write a gratitude letter to the Lord,” the musician stated.
He emphasized that the upcoming celebration and his desire to thank God for how far he had come inspired the release.
