Entry Fee for Various Parks in Kenya

Kenya as a country is adorned with varied beautiful landscapes, parks and breathtaking nature. In addition, it is a home for the Big Five animals consisting of the lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and African buffalo.

Apart from the rich Kenyan culture and beaches that attract both foreign and domestic tourists, wildlife also adds much to the Kenyan revenue basket yearly.

During the festive season, many families want to visit various national parks, reserves and conservancies across Kenya and have fun. As such, it is important to know entry charges to access these parks.

Therefore, this article comes as a great aid, it will highlight the entry fees for several parks.

Kenya is one of the greatest African safari destinations on the continent. It has 23 National Parks, 28 National reserves, and 4 National Marine Parks. Additionally, it has 6 National Marine Reserves and 4 National Sanctuaries.

Furthermore, park entry fees vary from one park, reserve and conservatory to another. Also, the amount one is charged will depend on the residence status. Citizens, residents and non-residents all pay a different entry fee.

   6.  Amboseli National Park Fees 2024 – 2025

Visitors of Amboseli national park are supposed to pay an entrance fee daily, park entrance fees are valid for 24 hours.

  1. Entry fee for Lake Nakuru National Park

Kenyan residents, upon presenting valid national IDs, pay an entry fee ranging from KES 800 to 1,000 for adults and KES 250 to 500 for children aged 3-18, depending on the season.

At the same time, East African residents from Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, or Burundi are charged KES 1,200 to 1,500 for adult entry and KES 600 to 750 for children aged 3-18.

Additionally, non-residents, or international tourists, will pay between USD 60 to 80 for adult entry and USD 35 to 40 for children aged 3-18.

  1. Lewa Wildlife Conservancy

Entry fees for Lewa Wildlife Conservancy are based on day trippers and 24 hours for overnights.

Non-resident day trippers entrance fees is USD 198 per adult, while for overnight the entry fee is USD 126 per adult.

Kenya residents’ day trippers entrance fees is Ksh. 8,074, while for overnight the entry fee is Ksh. 2,800 while children between 6-12 years of age 50% of the above applicable fee.

The entry fees outlined above vary across different parks in the country, reflecting the diverse pricing range at each location.

With this information, visitors can better plan and align their budgets to experience the stunning wildlife and landscapes that Kenya has to offer especially during holidays and festive seasons.
