Father Narrates Losing Two Children in Separate Road Accidents

A father found himself standing once again before a congregation, this time at Kenyatta University, to bid farewell to his beloved daughter, Oslo Mwendwa.

Just a year prior, he had mourned the tragic passing of his other daughter, Mitchel, in a devastating accident on Kiambu Road.

Now, with Oslo’s untimely demise in the Kenyatta University crash, his anguish knows no bounds.

Overwhelmed by emotions, Oslo’s father recounted the pain of losing two daughters in such a short span of time.

“One year ago, one month, probably a few hours, I stood before a congregation like this one in Kiambu Road to mourn the passing of my daughter Mitchel through a tragic road accident,” he solemnly shared, his voice laden with sorrow.

“On that day, Oslo stood beside me as the only beacon of hope. Today, the brother stands beside me as the family bids tribute to Oslo.”

As parents faces clouded with sorrow gathered at the university’s graduation square, the weight of loss hung heavy in the air.

Friends, comrades, and parents joined in mourning the lives lost, paying tribute to the young souls extinguished too soon.

“Her gentle words and comforting presence were a beacon of hope in times of darkness,” her father recounted, his words trembling with emotion.

“Oslo’s boldness was truly inspiring; she fiercely stood for what she believed in, never backing down from a challenge or shying away from the truth.”

Her father reminisced about her smile saying it was a radiant beam capable of lighting up even the darkest of rooms.

Tragedy struck his family once more when Oslo and ten other Kenyatta University students lost their lives in a horrific collision on their way to Mombasa for an academic trip.

The fateful encounter with a trailer at Maungu in Voi shattered dreams and extinguished futures in an instant.
