Rashid was previously released on Sh200,000 cash bail, after he denied the charges of killing the two teenagers.
Jamal Mohammed and Mohammed Dhair Kheri- died on March 31, 2017, at Amal Plaza in Eastleigh estate, Nairobi.
Rashid, who appeared before justice Diana Mochache took plea on Monday after the court dismissed an application challenging the court’s jurisdiction.

Rashid was granted release by Justice Mochache, who argued that the victims had not lodged any complaints regarding interference or evidence manipulation.
The decision was made one month after the Independent Medical-Legal Unit, a human rights organization, voiced its displeasure with the courts’ failure to hold Rashid accountable for the murder.
“Justice delayed is justice denied. It’s unacceptable that cases of police brutality are taking years. The victims and their families deserve closure and accountability. The justice system needs to prioritize these cases and ensure that justice is served swiftly,” IMLU said.
