The government through the State Department of Immigration Services has shared phone numbers Kenyans can contact in case they need urgent passport processing.
In a statement on July 24, the State Department said Kenyans can reach them via a phone call, on WhatsApp or through email.
The Directorate of Immigration Services expressed its commitment to serve Kenyans and pledged to remain open to facilitate urgent passports processing to fulfil this mandate.
“Therefore, for urgent passport processing kindly contact @Immigration Dept and provide documentary proof of urgency. Call-Hotline: +254 110 922 065, Call Centre: +254 110 923 423, WhatsApp: +254 796 374 902 and Email: [email protected],” the statement read in parts.

Besides, the Directorates said Kenyans can visit their offices at Nyayo House Passport Section, Customer Care Desk or Counter 16 ог 17 between 8am and 5pm from Monday to Friday.
Earlier in May, Members of Parliament (MPs) recommended allowing applicants to receive their travel documents within three days.
The National Assembly’s Committee on National Administration and Internal Security made the suggestion on May 15, 2024, during the presentation of the State Department for Immigration and Citizen Services’ budget estimates for the 2024/25 Financial Year.
The committee members urged the government to open more immigration offices across the country to make it easier to acquire passports. According to the MPs, applicants are normally forced to make long queues and spend a lot on fare to access Nyayo House or any of the eight regional immigration offices.
“With adequate resourcing, targeting a maximum of three days for applicants to be issued with passports is realistic…This should be feasible, especially with the opening of more offices in other parts of the country,” said Narok West MP Gabriel Tongoyo.
