An investigation has been launched in Homa Bay County after thieves broke into Oyugis law courts and stole computers from the registry.
According to the office administrator, he noticed that a desktop had been left on the court corridors, which was bizarre as the previous day he had locked all the offices before heading home.
Three guards that were on duty were at the court premises on Friday morning when the administrator arrived.
The administrator also said that other offices, including the criminal registry as well as the cash office, had their monitors missing.
He told police he later went into other offices and discovered that someone had forcefully gained access to them and made way with a desktop and monitor at a registry.
Detectives have launched a probe into the matter, with the three guards detained to help, as police suspect an inside job as the reason for the incident.
It has been established that the criminals got access to the court premises by cutting barbed wire on the rear side of the building.
