Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has claimed that opposition leader Raila Odinga misbehaved during the Africa Climate Summit.
Speaking in Kericho, Gachagua claimed that the former Prime Minister wanted to sit with presidents although he is not one of them.
“When Raila came to KICC, he wanted to sit with elected presidents instead of using the seat allocated to him,” said Gachagua.
Further, the DP explained that not even Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen could be allowed to enter the room where the head of states sat.
“The room was full of presidents and Raila wanted to join them. This left people asking which state he was heading,” said Gachagua amidst laughter from the audience.
However, Gachagua explained that the opposition chief was given a special seat at the KICC hall close to his own seat.
Raila Retirement
Further, Gachagua said they want to protect the Azimio leader and plan for his retirement.
“I told him (Raila) that we will give him security officers, cars, a house and escort motorbikes so that he can go home and rest,” he said.
Gachagua asked the public to pray for President William Ruto adding that he will always fight those against his government.

State House Traps
The DP also said he has laid traps at State House to block individuals who want to join the government from the backdoor.
Gachagua claimed that the opposition tried to engage President Ruto during his trip to Italy.
“My work is to protect President Ruto and fight anybody trying sabotage the Kenya Kwanza government,” he said.
Additionally, Gachagua said Raila has a bad history of ruining governments.

He said even he has laid traps at State House to block the opposition from accessing President Ruto during his trip to Colombia and Cuba.
“I have informants at State House, we cannot allow someone who has ruined four governments to join the fifth one,” said Gachagua.
Gachagua on ODM Expulsion
Also, Gachagua criticized the ODM leader for expelling the five members of parliament who pledged to work with the government.
Gachagua argued that Raila’s move is an indication that he has no good intentions with the national dialogue committee proceedings.
“Raila says he wants to have talks with the president, but when his allies meet with Ruto he expels them from the party. Is he genuine?” asked Gachagua.
Further, the DP said the expelled MPs met the President to discuss the economic development agenda in the regions they represent.
