NPSC Portal
– Visit the NPSC portal at www.npsc.go.ke.
– Hover over “Resources” on the menu bar.
– Click on “Other Documents.”
– Scroll down the page to find the section for shortlisted candidates and click “Download.”
– Open the downloaded file and search for your name in the NPSC Shortlisted Candidates PDF.
Local Newspapers
The list of shortlisted candidates is usually published in two major newspapers: The Standard and Daily Nation, which have the largest circulation.
Keep an eye on these publications to find out when the list is released and cross-check to see if you have been shortlisted.

County Police Offices
Applicants can also visit the offices of the County Commissioner or Deputy County Commissioner to obtain the list.
NPSC Screening
Shortlisted applicants must attend a screening exercise at designated recruitment centers, where they will be assessed based on height, body measurements (BMI), physical fitness, and medical fitness.
Successful candidates must bring the following documents during the screening process:
1. National Identity Card
2 .Academic certificates, including transcripts and professional certificates
3 .Any additional supporting documents and testimonials
4 .Clearance certificates from the following institutions:
- Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
- Kenya Revenue Authority
- Higher Education Loans Board
- Directorate of Criminal Investigations
- A reputable Credit Reference Bureau

Subsequent Steps
After the screening, successful candidates may undergo written and oral interviews or aptitude tests to evaluate their communication skills, general knowledge, and suitability for service.
