The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has issued notice to the candidates of the deadline for the UDA repeat grassroots elections.
The candidates are to register for phase 2 and phase 3 repeat grassroots elections within the remaining 14 days until the deadline.
“Don’t miss out: Registration deadline for the repeat grassroots elections (Phases II and III) closes on Saturday, February 21, 2026,” the notice read in part.
UDA Grassroots Elections
Grassroots Elections are to be held as stated by the resolution by the National Executive Committee of the UDA and the Election and Nomination Dispute Committee (ENDRC) concerning the concluded grassroots elections.
Registration for the repeat grassroots election, phases 2 and 3, opened on Wednesday, 21st January 2026.
On the 28th March,2026, the phase 2 grassroots election will take place in countries such as Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Tana River, Lamu, Taita-Taveta, Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, Marsabit, Isiolo, Kitui, Machakos, Makueni, Turkana, Kajiado, Bungoma, Siaya, Kisumu, Migori, Kisii and Nyamira.
UDA`S Phase 3 repeat polls will be held in several counties on March 7th, including Bomet, Kakamega, Kirinyaga, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Kiambu, Uasin Gishu, Laikipia, Nyandarua, Kericho, Vihiga, Nyeri, Baringo, Nakuru, Murang’a, Transnzoia, Embu, Samburu and Meru counties.
UDA has 443,063 open positions that include the blank position, those that previously had no applicants, unopposed positions and polling centres with less than 50 voters.
How to register as an individual for the UDA repeat Grassroots Elections
An individual registering for the grassroots election must pay a non-refundable fee. The process can be done online or by dialling *456*9*5*5*1 # and receiving the verification message.
When registering online, you are required to upload a photo, which is optional but recommended. The photo must be no more than 6 months old, have a white background, and not exceed 1MB.

Additionally, the candidate must provide personal details and agree to receive periodic text messages and calls from UDA.
After the personal details, the candidate is expected to choose the election level, payment, and then verify their phone.
Bulk registration of the UDA repeat grassroots election
Bulk registration of multiple people has several guidelines to consider during the registration process.
The registration process begins by filtering by region to find open positions in the candidate’s county, constituency, ward, or polling center.
A candidate has the option to choose how to fill out the document. It can be done online by filling in the details directly in the browser and downloading the completed file.

Alternatively, one can get a CSV file to manually fill out in Excel or Google Sheets, depending on the candidate’s preference.
For every position being applied for, the candidates should include their full name, phone number, and date of birth.
After the forms are completed, the list is submitted to the IT Team or the secretariat members responsible for the region in question for validation and payment processing.
