Former Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe has landed a communication job at the Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management under Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria.
The CS confirmed the appointment explaining that it was done by the ministry and not himself.
“It is true, except that I am not the one who appointed her but the Public Service Commission,” Kuria told Nation Africa on Sunday, March 10.
CS Kuria explained that the government is an equal provider of opportunities and is keen on helping people rise back to their feet.
“It is the right thing to do for Jacque as the President Ruto administration is keen to demonstrate that there is nothing like life in ashes, this is a country of justice, equal opportunities and one that will lend you a hand to rise from your ruins,” he said.
Maribe, also expressed excitement over her new role, adding that the truth set her free.
“Let us wait and see if the hand of God is revealing itself in my new appointment,” she said.
The appointment comes a month after she was acquitted of murder charges in businesswoman Monica Kimani’s case.
Maribe was accused of conspiring with her fiancé Joseph Irungu, alias Jowie in the murder of Monica.
