The Judiciary on Tuesday, August 8, announced the transfer and deployment of high court judges.
In a statement signed by Justice Eric Ogola, Principal Judge of the High Court, Lady Justice Mugure Thande as moved from Milimani Constitutional and Human Rights Division to Malindi High Court.
Justice Thande made headlines when she suspended the Finance Act, 2023, which is the backbone of President William Ruto’s development agenda.
At the same time, Lady Justice Chacha Mwita who has been moved from the Commercial and Tax Division of the same court.
Justice Peter Mulwa and Justice Aleem Visram have been moved to the Milimani Commercial and Tax Division.
Justices Mulwa and Visram have been moved from Kiambu High Court and Milimani Civil Division respectively.
Also, Lady Justice Hedwig Ong’udi has been transferred from the Milimani Constitutional and Human Rights Division to Nakuru High Court as the principal judge (PJ).
Similarly, Justice David Majanja will move from his current position at Milimani Civil Division to the Civil Division.
On the other hand, Justice Hillary Chemitei will move from Nakuru High Court to Milimani Family Division replacing Justice Maureen Odero whose new station is Nyeri High Court.
In addition, Lady Justice Patricia Gichohi has been moved to Nakuru High Court swapping places with Lady Justice Teresa Odera who will shift to Kisii High Court.
