The Judiciary has offered advocates and court users alternatives to access scheduled court cases after the portal went down.
In a notice on October 26, 2026, the Judiciary confirmed it was addressing technical challenges and announced how to access the cases.
“The Judiciary wishes to inform Advocates and Court Users that, while technical challenges affecting the Causelist Portal are being addressed, alternative arrangements have been put in place to facilitate access to court sessions scheduled for today,” part of the notice read.
Users have been directed to check their E-Filing calendars and WhatsApp platforms for cause lists and virtual court links.
Alternative Ways to Check Scheduled Court Cases
The Judiciary has directed court users to log in to their E-Filing accounts and access the Calendar feature to obtain virtual court links and check their respective matters scheduled for the day.
After logging in, users should open the Calendar feature and locate the relevant scheduled matter.
They should review the case details and, where applicable, use the virtual court link provided for the session.

If you cannot access the Cause List Portal, Court Administrators have downloaded cause lists from the Court Tracking System (CTS).
Court Administrators will share the already downloaded cause list through the respective Bar-Bench and court users’ WhatsApp platforms.
Advocates and litigants should check the relevant court-related WhatsApp groups for the cause list covering their court station and hearing date.
“In the meantime, Court Administrators have downloaded the cause lists from the Court Tracking System (CTS) and shared them through the respective Bar-Bench and court users’ WhatsApp platforms,” the notice directed.
Users who cannot locate the relevant list should contact their advocate or the appropriate court administration for assistance.
Additionally, Judges and Judicial Officers will, where possible, project cause lists during virtual court sessions to help advocates and other court users identify the matters scheduled for hearing.

How to Access the Judiciary Cause List Portal
The Judiciary’s Cause List Portal lets the public check when and where cases are scheduled for hearing, access court notices, and find links to virtual proceedings.
Under normal operating conditions, users can access the portal at https://causelist.court.go.ke/ without logging into an E-Filing account.
To search for a court schedule, open the portal and select the relevant Court Rank, which identifies the level or type of court handling the matter.
Select the appropriate Station, referring to the court location, and choose the relevant Division where applicable.
Users should then enter the date for which they want to view the cause list using the date fields provided on the portal.
After selecting the relevant details, click Get Causelist to retrieve the available schedule.
The resulting list can be checked to establish which matters are scheduled for hearing on the selected date.
Users should carefully confirm the court station, date, and case details to ensure they are viewing the correct list.
