Kathy Kiuna, wife of Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) founder Bishop Allan Kiuna, has eulogized her husband in a funeral service held in Thindigua, Kiambu County.
In an emotional tribute on July 17, Kathy reminisced the thirty years she spent with her husband whom she termed as her best friend and confidant.
Additionally, Kathy dedicated the song ‘One day at a time sweet Jesus’ to herself as a source of inspiration to cope with the death of her husband.
“That’s basically all I can ask the Lord because not only was bishop my husband, but he was also my best friend and for me, he wasn’t just a friend, he was my confidant and for 30 years, we are 5 months short of 30 years,”
“For 30 years, more life I have been with him than I have been alone, laughing with each other and he loved me loudly, he loved me openly, and I loved him, he was the love of my life,” she recalled.

In her tribute, the reverend appreciated his mother for raising a good man and being there for her during such a difficult time for her.
“And so, this is a prayer to God to just show me the way one day at a time. And as we lay him to rest, I want to thank God for mum, thank you for standing with us, for raising him, you raised a very good man, thank you for raising your baby and now he became my baby,” Kathy expressed.

Kathy Kiuna Attributes Spiritual journey to Husband
Kathy recounted her spiritual journey while noting that Bishop Allan saw her talent at a time when she was doubting her preaching capabilities.
She recalled how Allan kept encouraging her resulting in the woman she has become.
“I just want to make a promise to you baby, honey you raised me well, I didn’t even know I could preach. I didn’t even know that I had any preaching in me, I didn’t even know that I could preach the word of God.
“And you saw it honey and you said to me baby, you can do this, you told me I was called to the woman, and you saw it and called it out. And I have been doing that, with you urging me on and showing me how possible it is and look what the Lord has done,” Kiuna said
Despite Kiuna’s demise, she promised to make him proud and keep doing the Lord’s work.

Appreciation to Bishops

“Thank you, Bishop Mark, Bishop Masinde, the two times you have ministered is something I will never forget, I will cherish it for the rest of my life. Today bishop Mark, you made me feel like bishop was here. You made me feel like he was hugging on me and telling me baby go on, it’s going to be okay thank you.
Additionally, she urged her congregants to support in her journey of grief as it was not easy for her.
“I said again, I’m going to need you to just walk with me in this journey because I know it’s not an easy journey,” she concluded.
